The Catchment Science & Management Training course (2023) provided by LAWPRO is now open for Registration:

Costs:
This course is 100% Funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage for persons identified by LAWPRO and the Department.

Delivery Format & Venue:
Link to attached document included here.
Please note, by registering for this course, prospective participants are expected in best faith to commit their time to attending all 3 Modules*. The course has been devised so that modules are complementary to each other and as such, it is necessary to complete all aspects to develop a full understanding of Catchment Science & Management.

As spaces for this course are limited and in high demand, we ask that you be mindful of the expectation of this commitment before completing registration. You should note that for Module 2 & Module 3 spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Note that other condensed iterations of Catchment Science & Management training are being considered which may be more applicable to some sectors. It is expected that the full course should also be rolled out again in 2024 if the 2023 courses are oversubscribed, not all learners can be facilitated and people who cannot be facilitated will be notified and may wish to consider reapplying in 2024.

*NB: Some participants have completed aspects of the course in 2022 and will not be expected to repeat modules which have already been attended.

Dates for Module 1:

Module 1 will involve a number of pre-recorded presentations for viewing over a period of 3 weeks, once registration has been confirmed, to enable maximum flexibility for the learner. Learners will receive a link via the email address provided at registration, and it is planned that it will also be accompanied by relevant access credentials to view the recorded presentations. These will be available in mid-March once registrations have been finalised.
Also, as part of Module 1, there will be two live Q&A sessions hosted virtually (via Zoom) by LAWPRO on 25th April 2023; a morning session and an afternoon session. Learners are only required to join one of these sessions which best suits their availability.
Learners are also strongly encouraged to submit questions and answers in advance of these live sessions (and/or as they progress through the recorded material) to allow for preparation of answers. This will be particularly pertinent for content provided by external speakers who may not be in attendance at the Q&A session, allowing LAWPRO to liaise in advance and provide the relevant response.
Questions and queries should be submitted to csmtraining@lawaters.ie
