To provide learners with the knowledge, skills and expertise to collect and present evidence as part of their role as waste operatives. This will include but will

not be limited to:
- provide learners with the ability to operate within a legal framework and to carry out their work according to best practice standards.
- provide learners with the ability to gather evidence that is admissible in any subsequent court hearing and that is compliant with the rules of evidence.
- provide learners with the ability to analyse a case to determine what has to be proved and how to prove it.
- provide learners with the ability to interview members of the public and document their findings in accordance with best practice standards.
